Acourse, this is Waskom Texas, where the winters (if we have any) are short lived. I started cutting my yard in February and I can see it's going to be a long mowing season. We had to make a quick trip to Mississippi this last weekend, Ruby's best friend, (since grade school), father passed away and we went to the funeral. The meal after the funeral was at the church we were married 40 ears ago. I carry in my pocket a minature marriage license that is a replicate of the real one, It was given to me and Ruby at our wedding. Yes, 40 years later, I still carry it around in my billfold. Anyway, one of the withnesses that signed it was at the funeral, I show it to her, and she just couldn't believe I still had it. Also on the wall of the church was a picture on the old church we were married in May 25, 1968. That is the picture you see at the top of this blog.
